Food Reformulation Task Force: Maximum per serving salt targets for pizza sold in the foodservice sector

This document sets out the maximum per serving salt targets for adult and children’s pizzas sold in Irish foodservice outlets. For example, restaurant, takeaway, café, public house.

These targets do not apply to prepacked pizza sold in supermarkets and convenience stores. The prepacked pizza category is asked to reduce their salt content in line with the overall percentage reductions for target nutrients outlined in the Roadmap for Food Product Reformulation in Ireland and Priority Food Categories for Reformulation in Ireland.
