The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) continues with its free online Brexit Bite webinars to help you get your food business Brexit ready.
The UK has left the EU and the transition period for food businesses to prepare for the significant changes this will bring ends on 31 December 2020.
The FSAI is committed to actively engaging with food businesses to provide updated information and advice on the steps you need to take to be ready for 1 January 2021.
Food businesses, regardless of size, moving food or food contact materials from, to or through Great Britain will be subject to a range of new customs formalities and other regulatory requirements from 1 January 2021. Irish food businesses that currently buy food from Great Britain and place it on the Irish market will become importers.
In this short Brexit Bite, Anne-Marie Boland (FSAI) will outline what this means for food businesses and provide you with practical information on what you need to do now to make sure you are prepared for 1 January 2021.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the presentation. This free event will be held online and will last 40 minutes.
Shortly after registration, you will receive the event link by email which will give you the details on how to join the event at 10am on Tuesday 15 December 2020. In order to join the event on the day, you will need a computer, tablet or smartphone.
